Across many cultures, and over many centuries, ginger has been a trusted medicinal spice. The essential oil works much like the fresh root and can assist with calming an upset stomach and gastric discomfort of a similar nature. Topically, ginger soothes, warms, and encourages movement.
A powerfully fragrant essential oil with notes of honey, tea, and earth, helichrysum essential oil is highly valued as a perfumery ingredient, as well as for easing sore muscles. It can help counteract stress and tension, even in very small amounts.
Used since ancient times, spikenard is a versatile essential oil best-known for its distinct relaxing aroma and mood-boosting properties. Derived from a flowering plant, Nardostachys jatamansi, this oil reduces stress.
Bergamot is a fragrant citrus fruit the size of an orange. It is unique among citrus oils because it can be both stimulating and calming, making it ideal for reducing stress or sadness. It is also purifying and cleansing for the skin while also having a calming effect.
One of the world’s most powerful agents comes from the natural oil produced by 100-foot tall copaiba trees in the Amazon rainforest. Amazonian natives used copaiba oil in folk remedies far before it became known in the 21st century for relieving discomfort and alleviating stress. It has a wonderful, gentle woody aroma that is great for those who don’t tolerate strong smells. It is a friend of the skin and an excellent choice for topical applications.
Frankincense carterii has been employed for thousands of years in spiritual rituals and used as precious incense. It is derived from African and Middle Eastern tree gum resin. It may soothe and revitalize the spirit. Many will use frankincense as part of their spiritual practice to quiet the mind or assist with meditation.
German chamomile is the great stabilizer. A good choice for times of transition or emotional challenges. The essential oil is a beautiful, dark blue-green color that is rich in monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes. It offers support in areas of stress, tension, and overthinking.
Deeply calming, balancing to the whole system. A wonderful remedy for radiant skin health. A commonly used insect repellant and also soothes itchy/sore bug bites.
Melaleuca quinquenervia ct linalool
Nerolina is a sweetly-scented, woody and floral essential oil that originates from the linalool chemotype of the niaouli tree, of the same Melaleuca genus as tea tree. Its many applications are not surprising, as it shares some of the most beneficial elements of lavender and neroli, yielding supremely calming and soothing effects.
Organic Jojoba Oil
Jojoba is a nourishing plant oil that mimics the natural oils of our skin. This means it is readily absorbed and keeps the skin moisturized and protected. It is an excellent carrier oil for essential oils and is tolerated by even the most sensitive of skin. It has a long shelf life and is high in vitamin E, a naturally occurring antioxidant.
The sweet scent of Roman chamomile is soothing and calming to the nervous system. It is especially helpful for dealing with stress. It is a lovely choice for sensitive skin types and can make a relaxing bath even more beneficial.
Rosalina essential oil is often described as a sweeter-smelling, gentler alternative to tea tree. It also belongs to the Melaleuca genus, but offers a floral, woody aroma reminiscent of rosewood. Rosalina has a relaxing characteristic and helps to reduce discomfort.
Despite its name, spike lavender is not the same as lavender! The main difference is a high content of 1,8-cineole alongside the calming and relaxing linalool terpene. For this reason, it can be used in a similar fashion as eucalyptus. In some ways, it is like combining lavender and eucalyptus into one multitasking essential oil. It has a stimulating freshness that we don’t get from the very floral notes of lavender.
This blend also includes:
Bergamot, Copaiba, Frankincense Carterii, Geranium, German Chamomile, Lavender, Nerolina, Organic Jojoba Oil, Roman Chamomile, Rosalina & Spike Lavender
