What is a Terpene Pen?

A Brief Guide to Terpene Pens

If you’re a MONQie, you may have noticed. It’s a pretty big change—MONQ now sells Terpene Pens.

MONQie or not, your next question may be, what is a Terpene Pen?!

The good news: MONQ offers the same amazing essential oil products we always have. Now, we simply call them Terpene Pens.

Why?

Well, because we can. =)

And, for a few other reasons, mainly…

Terpene Pen more accurately describes MONQ’s personal aromatherapy diffusers.

If you’ve been reading our blogs, watching our livestreams, or simply interacted with MONQ recently, you’ve heard or seen us use the word terpene. You may even know that terpenes are naturally occurring aromatic hydrocarbon molecules emitted by plants and trees that are essential to survival.

In layman’s terms? Terpenes are the essence of scent and wellness. They are produced by plants and trees and released into the air. We know terpenes are essential to species’ survival, providing markers of food, water, healthy territories, reproduction, and more.

For humans, terpenes are essential to both physical and mental wellness. Studies have shown that practices such as forest bathing, where individuals immerse themselves in forests and are breathing terpene-rich, Therapeutic Air®, improve mental and physical health and restore homeostasis—balance—to the body.1

We also know that individuals who live in cities and urban environments tend to experience more health concerns and ailments than their nature-loving counterparts. MONQ believes that at the heart of this issue—respiratory illnesses, pollution, stress, melancholy mood, and more—is terpene deficiency (a syndrome defined by our founder and CEO Eric Fishman, MD).2,3

So, we created MONQ personal aromatherapy diffusers and essential oil blends—vape-like technology, without any of the additives, GMOs, or harmful ingredients but with the source of wellness (terpenes). MONQ’s products literally produce terpene-dense breaths for users, anytime, anywhere. And so, it makes sense that we should call MONQ personal aromatherapy diffusers exactly what they are—Terpene Pens.

Now, we get it. Change is hard. But, it doesn’t have to be. After all, as Shakespeare said, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” And so does MONQ. Our Terpene Pens are filled with the same great blends for the same great benefits.

Try MONQ Terpene Pens now.
