Meditating is a key method in understanding and transforming your mind. MONQ believes the practice of meditation and the use of essential oils often go hand in hand, which is why we’ve put together a MONQ Meditation series to accompany you through the process to become relaxed and at peace. Each video features a different focus and a guide to using a MONQ diffuser to enhance your experience. This video focuses on happiness, so check out a MONQ Happy diffuser with essential oils fennel, thyme, and vanilla to get you to your happy place. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more guided meditation videos, like Zen and Sleepy.
Hi and welcome to a MONQ Meditation series! I’m Victoria Frazier and I get to guide you through our meditation today, in which we focus on happiness. First and foremost, find a place where you feel most comfortable and safe. This could be a room in your house, this could be a place in your office, where you might be able to close the door and pull the blinds and really be able to shut out all the noise around you. You could also go outside if that’s a possibility. You could even sit in your car, before you go into the office or before you head out into traffic.

I like to be seated on the ground with a cushion underneath me. You could take half lotus if you prefer or even full lotus if you have the knee flexibility, I personally do not. But if you feel any tension in your knees, grab a block or cushion, place it underneath your knees and that should help relieve any tension you feel. It also tilts your pelvis forward and helps elongate your spine upward, so you get a nice, straight back.
Your hands, place them either on your knees face down or upwards. If you’re not comfortable on the ground, feel free to take a seated position. Obviously, in your car, you’re gonna take a nice seated position as well. Once you are comfortable, take a nice, big, deep inhale and extend your shoulders towards the ears and then let them extend down your spine on your next exhale.
Incorporating essential oils into your practice is a great way to enhance it. I really love MONQ. It is a personal essential oil diffuser, which I love to use and the MONQ necklace makes it perfect, easy access so I don’t have to search around whenever I want to take a MONQ breath. And a MONQ breath is how you get the vapor into your body. You don’t want to inhale a vapor, so I like to take a nice, big, deep breath and then I pull the vapor into my mouth and use my tongue to push it into my nasal cavity, and then I exhale it out my nose. I’ll show you. Super easy. And that is the MONQ breath.
When you are ready, take a nice, big, deep inhale, bring your shoulders to your ears and exhale them down your spine. Let them come together behind your back so you open your chest a little bit more. Take one more big inhale and then take a MONQ breath. And when you are ready, close your eyes.
With every inhale and exhale, let your breath deepen. And let each round of breath get a little bit longer than the last. Pull your breath into your belly, all the way deep down. Let it fill up to your lungs. Let it go all the way up to the top of your throat. And then exhale it out. With every round of breath, let your body relax more. Let the crown of your head even, wrinkle-free. Let your tongue relax into your mouth. Let your shoulders descend down your spine. Let your hands rest heavy on your knees. And then let your breath come back to a natural rhythm.
Happiness is a very unique thing. We all are made happy with lots of different little things. Today we’re going to point out and remind ourselves, what it is that brings us joy, a sense of accomplishment, and makes us feel loved.
Take a moment to give yourself credit for taking the time today to sit down and let yourself de-stress. Let worries fade away and send yourself some love. And self-love is not conceit. Love is kindness and acceptance, caring and compassion towards yourself.
Did you grow a little bit taller? Stand a little bit straighter? Maybe your chest poached out just a little bit? Let your breath fill your lungs. And on the inhale, think about self-confidence. And the exhale, let any self-doubt fade away.
On each inhales and each exhales, each round of breath, let that feeling of being loved and appreciated fill you entirely.
And on your next inhale, bring a little life back in your fingers and your toes. And when you are ready, open your eyes.
Thank you so much for joining us today and finding a little bit more happiness in our meditation and in our life. If you have a big smile on your face like me, maybe throughout the rest of your day share it with someone. Smiles are contagious and they’re great in spreading a little happiness to those around you.
I also invite you tonight, think about a couple of things throughout the day today that have made you feel happy. It could be something small like that coffee or a little sweet treat. It could be something big like you gave the best hug to your best friend today. Whatever it might be, think about it before you go to sleep tonight. You could write it down, or just have it in your mind. Thank you so much again. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
