Kanuka essential oil comes from the Myrtaceae family, which also includes tea tree and manuka. Kanuka essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves, twigs, and branches of Kunzea ericoides. The tree can grow up to 30 meters tall and has small clusters of white flowers. 2
